The Meadows Swim Club has a 40 plus year tradition of competitive swim and dive teams.

Its not uncommon for most members to have at least one child involved in our Swim team, Dive team or Junior Swim team. 

Unlike other pools that have all day Saturday events, our meets are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and last only a few  hours.   We wrap up the season with a Conference meet for for each each team.

This year the Swim Conference will be on July 22nd at Nequa Valley .

The Dive Conference will be on July 22nd at the Meadows Swim Club.

Swim Team - There will be a total of ten dual meets during the season. The dual swim meets will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (and one Saturday meet), with warm-ups starting at 5:45pm for the home team and 6:00pm for the away team.  The swim meet will begin promptly at 6:30pm. A meet availability sheet will be sent to you after registration for each swimmer to fill out and return by June 5th.  Saturdays will be used as make-up dates for rainouts.  Swim Team Link       Junior Swim Team Link

Swin Team Stroke Clinic: Refine your swim stroke and flip turns to knock off the seconds you need to win. Information and register.

Parents Meeting – This meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 5th, at 5:00 PM in the Meadows courtyard.  Additional information will be handed out at this meeting. Parents for regular swim team and Junior swim team need to attend.

 

Volunteers - All our dual meets (Home and Away) are ran by volunteers. It is expected that if you are at the meet you should be working. We have plenty of positions to fill. Please fill out the volunteer forms according to when your swimmer is available for a meet. No one will be asked to work a meet when his or her swimmer is not swimming. Please remember we are all volunteers and lack of workers could cause a forfeit of the meet.

Swim Team Practice – Practices will start Tuesday May 29th, after school from 4:00pm to 5:00pm for ages 10 & under, and from 5:00pm to 6:00pm for ages 11 & up. 

Practices will move to mornings on Thursday, June 6th.  Practice will then be 7:45 am to 9:00 am for ages 11 & up, 9:00am to 10:00am for 10 & under and 10:00-10:45 am, Monday through Friday.

Junior Swim Team will begin on Monday, June 11th 10-10:45 am.

 

Season Awards – All swimmers who complete the season will receive an award at Awards Night.  The coaches have additional awards to present at this time as well.  Awards Night is scheduled for July 22nd in the Meadows courtyard. Please note this is following the Conference Championship meet.  Addition information will come at a later date.
